Hello and a very warm welcome from Dr Bells Apothecary. We are a small family run business in the heart of the north east of England.
Our passion is the creation of skin care products that care for the human but also care for the environment. Our formulations and ingredients are ethically sourced and are environmentally sustainable. Because of this we do not use any raw material that is sourced from animals and causes suffering or harm. We test our formulations only on human volunteers. All products undergo strict quality control procedures. Dr Bells use only the finest natural ingredients and the best that science has to offer in formulations. Nature has a lot to offer and has coexisted with humans for a very long time, providing remedies that are effective and kind to the user and the environment. This can be complemented by an aware and sensible use of science and technology.
At all times we at Dr Bells strive to maintain excellent customer relations based on good, intimate communication. With excellent products and formulations we envisage growing with our customers' requests and successes well into the next millennium.
The majority of our soaps are handmade and sourced in the main from small family manufacturers whose concerns are the same as ours - quality, value, environment and ethics. It is the same with our creams, shampoos, conditioners, bath foam, tonics and facial toners, quality products manufactured to our own recipes at small family producers who share our beliefs and values. Consequently all our products are made in England. We use both traditional and contemporary handcrafted manufacturing processes with an emphasis on natural ingredients and herbal therapy. We use only the purest and finest ingredients including essential oils, botanicals and exclusively blended fragrance oils of the highest quality. If our products have to be coloured or perfumed, and the vast majority are NOT, then they are processed with natural herbs, spices and cosmetic grade colorants. We do not use animal fats, or allow the testing of our ingredients on animals.
Our packaging is simple and minimal to avoid it clogging up the environment.
